Craig Buckbee  

Burlington Flats, NY

Craig is an FFI Master Certified Casting Instructor and a licensed guide in NY and PA.  He also works as a casting instructor at Joan Wulff's Fly Fishing School.  He competes in ACA casting tournaments and has won medals in national tournaments competing against the best casters in the world.  Craig will be giving two casting presentations.  One on single hand spey casting and one on keys of the double haul.

Greg Hoover

State College, PA

Greg Hoover is widely acknowledged as North America’s most knowledgeable fly
fishing entomologist. He received his Master’s degree based on his thesis researching Penns Creek’s famous green drake hatch.  Greg has conducted
hundreds of seminars on the identification and imitation of trout stream insects and
taught entomology for 28 years at Penn State University. His presentation will discuss what a fly fisher should know aquatic insects
and their relatives. He’ll discuss identification of the immature and adult life stages of members
of the major aquatic insect orders as well as discuss effective patterns to match them.

Josh Miller

Pittsburgh, PA

Josh is a member of Fly Fishing Team USA and has worked as an assistant coach, and instructor, with The US Youth Fly Fishing Team in 3 World Championships. He is also a Pennsylvania fishing guide for Trout Yeah! Josh is a Fly Tyer for The Orvis Company and a Fulling Mill ambassador. Josh's presentation titled "Euro Nymphing 101.  Understanding the basics" will help everyone increase their productivity with this effective fishing method.    
 

Dave Brandt

Oneonta, NY

Dave is a world famous fly tyer and has been a casting instructor at the Joan Wulff Fly Fishing School since 1987. He taught the Fly Fishing course at SUNY Oneonta.  Dave will be demonstrating techniques for tying perfect Catskill style dry flies and will also show you how to perfect your roll casting with his demonstration on the casting pond.  

Mike McFarland

Bellwood, PA

Mike has owned and operated McFarland Rod Company since 1997.  His fiberglass and graphite rods and blanks are sought after by anglers and rodmakers around the world.  In addition to rod making, Mike is heavily involved in tournament casting through the American Casting Association and is a 4 time winner of the Hardy Cup. Mike will give a presentation on composite blank construction and rod design.  He will also be available for casting instruction throughout the day.
